Strange Brew

Strange Brew is the right name for this place. It's a mixed crowd. From 20-somethings to 50-somethings commingling.

The band was great tonight. Featuring Jon Ross on Guitar, Bass, and vocals. He brought out the Stratotone guitar tonight. It looks sort of like a paddle with the cheesiest-looking pickups on the planet. But it sounds great.

The crowd took awhile to get going, but they were into it at the end after some up-tempo 4's by "Frosty" the drummer on Sonny Rollins' Tenor Madness. (I think he may have dropped his charts on that one).

The owner Mitch was very happy and noted the last time we played there with the band was the first time we played there a couple of years ago. Hopefully we'll bring the band there again soon.
